Install kariops pulse
Add the pulse connector in Claude.
kariops pulse tracks whether your brand shows up in Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini answers. Add it as a connector in Claude, then give Claude your website URL and any social profiles where you actively post. Claude researches all of them, confirms the brand details with you, drafts the questions we scan for, and runs your first scan.
Bring your own API keys
Bring your own API keys for Claude, OpenAI, Perplexity, and Gemini. Encrypted at rest with per-user keys. You pay your own providers directly; kariops never charges for engine calls.
Read + draft only
pulse reads the scan history in your pulse account and drafts page-copy fixes. It never writes to your CMS, your repos, or any other system you control.
From the Anthropic Directory
Follow the steps below to install the connector, then head to /keys to add your API keys, register your brand, and set your scan schedule.
From the /keys wizard (Step 3 of 5)
Install the connector using the steps below, then return to the /keys tab to continue. The wizard picks up where you left off.
What happens after install
Once the connector is added, give Claude your website URL and any social profiles you actively post on. Claude researches all of them, confirms the brand details with you, drafts the questions we scan for, and runs your first scan. You never need to memorize a command.
The first time pulse reads or writes anything in your account, Claude will ask “Allow for this task?” Click it. That is Claude's standard security prompt for any connector, not something specific to pulse. You only see it once per task.

Coming back to pulse
Once your brand is registered, here are the prompts that get you the most out of each session.
YOUR VISIBILITY
- What's my AI visibility this month?
- Run a fresh scan for [yourdomain.com]
- Show my scan history
TAKE ACTION
- Who's competing with me in AI answers?
- Draft copy fixes from my last scan
- Update my scan questions
MCP server URL
https://pulse.kariops.com/api/mcp
In Claude on the web
- 01
Open Claude.ai in another tab
Keep this tab open and open claude.ai in a new tab so you can come back here when the connector is installed.
- 02
Click your profile, then Settings
In Claude, click your profile (bottom left), then Settings.
- 03
Click Connectors in the left sidebar
Inside Settings, click Connectors in the left sidebar.
- 04
Click Add custom connector
Scroll to the bottom of the Connectors page and click Add custom connector.
- 05
Paste the MCP server URL
Paste https://pulse.kariops.com/api/mcp as the connector URL.
- 06
Complete the OAuth flow
Claude will open a sign-in window. Sign in with the same account you use on the kariops pulse dashboard and approve access. The connector reads and drafts only within your own pulse account. It does not read your Claude conversations or anything else in your Anthropic account.
- 07
Finish setup at /keys
Go to pulse.kariops.com/keys to add your API keys, register your brand, and set your scan schedule. The wizard picks up where you left off.
In Claude Desktop
Open Claude Desktop, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Use the same MCP server URL above. The OAuth flow and dashboard steps are identical to the web flow.
In Claude Code
Claude Code users can add pulse as a remote connector. Run this in any Claude Code session.
claude mcp add --transport http kariops-pulse https://pulse.kariops.com/api/mcp
The first time you use it, Claude Code opens a sign-in window in your browser. Sign in with your pulse account and approve access; Claude Code finishes connecting on its own. Then /check-my-pulse and /draft-visibility-fix are available in every session.
Running Claude Code over SSH or in a container?
The sign-in hands back to a local address on the machine running Claude Code, so a browser on a different machine cannot complete it. Use the no-browser flow instead: Claude Code prints a URL, you open it in any browser, sign in, and paste the full address bar back at the prompt.
claude mcp login kariops-pulse --no-browser
Needs Claude Code v2.1.191 or newer. If a browser sign-in ever dead-ends on a localhost page you cannot reach, paste that page address into the prompt Claude Code shows to finish.
After your first scan.
Tell Claude show me my results or how do I improve my visibility and Claude will pull the report and draft page-copy fixes. You apply the fixes.
